2013 Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van Review

The 2013 Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van represents a smaller and more fuel-efficient alternative to today’s current full-sized cargo and commercial offerings. The NV200 follows in the footsteps of the larger Nissan NV Cargo and the Nissan NV Passenger, which was recently announced for sale in Spring 2013. Although the NV200 is slated for sale to the U.S. market, this compact van has already proven itself on city streets and highways in over 40 countries.

Available in S and SV trims, the Nissan NV200 excels at delivering a generous amount of cargo space and payload capacity for its hard-working users. The 123 cubic-feet cargo area is specifically designed to easily accommodate standard 40×48-inch pallets and handle a 1,500-pound payload capacity. Users can also easily install shelves and racks for additional storage space thanks to the standard integrated mounting points. This also eliminates the need for drilling into the sidewalls of the Nissan NV200.

The interior offers a number of features aimed towards driver comfort and functionality. These features include a six-way adjustable driver seat with manual lumbar adjustment and outboard vinyl wear patches for added durability. The center console features dual cup holders and accommodations for laptops, pens and pencils and file folders. The front passenger seat is also designed to fold down, providing drivers with additional worktop space and to open up more space for longer items.

Front and rear 12-volt power outlets are standard, as are power windows, AM/FM radio with CD player and passenger-side underseat storage. Optional features include remote keyless entry, cruise control, an exterior appearance package that offers body color bumpers, door handles and a chrome grille, hands-free Bluetooth connectivity and a navigation system with rearview monitor and available XM Satellite Radio.

A 2.0-liter 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine represents the NV200’s sole current engine choice. This engine is paired with the proven and responsive Xtronic CVT transmission for excellent fuel efficiency and performance. Nissan also fitted the NV200 with a number of must-have safety features, including the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (AABS), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and tire pressure monitoring system.

Once the 2013 Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo Van, it is sure to be a favorite with contractors and tradesmen who are in need of a capable compact vehicle that’s able to get the job done.
