Some love imports such as the 2014 Nissan GT-R, and others are privy to muscle cars like the 2014 Dodge SRT Viper. Yet, the Dodge Viper took it’s look from Italy which is why it’s so popular.
The 2014 Nissan GT-R is made for the racetrack and is why the Fast and Furious movies used different years of the Nissan Skyline (which is now re-named the GT-R). The 2014 Nissan GT-R is more aerodynamic than the Dodge SRT Viper. It was built to fly from the very inner depths to the under body and all the way around from top to bottom. Underneath the GT-R you will find coverings of composite panels which cover normally exposed equipment of most vehicles.
The Viper is no doubt fast going over speeds of 200 mph. However, when air gets stuck in between the equipment, the car slows down and traction is reduced. The 2014 Dodge SRT has aerodynamic qualities, but if you want your Viper to have more aerodynamics, you have to get the package. Why pay more for a Viper’s aerodynamics package when the GT-R has it all and then some – at no extra cost!
The GT-R has a 3.8 L V6 engine with 6 speed automatic, and 545 h.p. at 6400 rpm’s. The Viper has a more powerful engine at 8.4 Liters along with a V-10 6 speed manual transmission. Would you rather have a fast car with great aerodynamics and pay less for gas, or a fast car with shoddy aerodynamics, and pay more for gas? With a V-10 engine, you will pay a lot more for gas in the Viper. The 2014 Nissan GT-R gets 16 city and 23 highway mpg while the Dodge SRT Viper gets 12 city and 19 highway mpg.
The Viper’s interior is padded, but not made for long trips. Dodge didn’t give much thought into the interior. The GT-R is specially made for comfort and stability with cutouts in the drivers seat. If you are taller than 6 feet, the Viper cannot fit you comfortably. With an 8 way power adjustable seat, the GT-R promises extra ease for your body’s fit.
