The 2015 Made in America Showcase offers music lovers across the country two fateful days of rocking out to some of the world’s most talented musicians of today. As a last toast to summer as it comes to a close, the Made in America Tour is stacked with top names, including Beyoncé and The Weeknd headlining. From mainstream and edgy Modest Mouse, to alternative Death Cab for Cutie, and well known rappers J. Cole and Big Sean, the neat part of this patriotic-themed festival comes from the mosaic of music genres that unite to perform in the Independence capital. With more than 50 bands taking the stage over the course of two days, music lovers will without a doubt go home with a handful of new favorite artists on their radar. Philly Eats at the Fest:
If you’re worried about somehow fitting in your Philly cheesesteak fix outside of the festival, don’t be. There’ll be plenty of mouth-watering options on the premises from classic crispy funnel cake to decadent cheesesteak-inspired food truck creations that pack a massive flavor punch.

Timing & What to Bring:
The gates to Made in America’s suite of shows open at noon each day September 5th and 6th. The festival prohibits glass bottles, food and drink, large backpacks and professional cameras (complete list on the website), so be sure to pack light, but don’t forget the essentials for a full day of concert enjoyment like sunscreen, a pair of shades, smart phone, etc.
Getting There and More:
If you drive in for Made in America, parking in one of the city’s garages or lots is encouraged. You can download Philadelphia Parking Authority’s parking app takes the stress out of finding a spot. If you’re commuting in from Lansdale or Doylestown, taking a Septa bus or train into 30th Street Station is highly convenient and puts you just about a mile from the Ben Franklin Parkway.
