Volunteer for Earth Day in Philadelphia PA

If you love taking long walks along trails, soaking up some beautiful nature sites, and appreciating all the gorgeous wildlife of this planet that we call home, why not do your part to help it thrive? That way, you can feel good about the effort you put into preserving Planet Earth once April 22 rolls around again.

Well, this year, you’ll be ready to get involved with our guide to a few places where you can volunteer for Earth Day in Philadelphia, PA. With this list of environmentally-minded organizations and events, you’ll finish your day as a fully-fledged green champion.

Riverfront North Earth Day Festival

To kick off your Earth Day celebrations with a bang, stop by for an array of different tree-hugging activities at the Riverfront North Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Lardner’s Point Park.

Here, you and your family will revel in all things nature with activities like a Naturalist Guided Walk, which will provide you with a peek into the unique wildlife and terrains of your beloved Philadelphia.

Once you’ve finished your tour, why not lend a hand to save the land by participating in the group cleanup of the park? That way, you can prevent trash from ending up in our rivers, lakes, trees, or any other beautiful part of our planet.

To keep you feeling energized throughout the day, live music will sing to the beat of Mother Earth and yoga classes are available throughout the day.

Simply log into your running app and submit your race results to the Athlinks page or on the app between April 15 and April 29. Once you do that, your medal and shirt will be shipped to your home!

SCA Earth Day at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge

As a celebration of their 60-year anniversary, the SCA Earth Day at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge cleanup allows students, and anyone else who cares for the earth, to band together and tidy up this outdoor oasis.

At this conservation festival, taking place on Saturday, April 14 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, you’ll be provided with all the tools and gloves you need to cleanse this serene natural sanctuary.

While you’re busy doing your part to preserve our planet, you’ll be able to connect to other members, alumni, and friends of this organization. That way, you’ll meet a few likeminded individuals who are also dedicated to keeping the earth healthy.
