Guide to MS Run for Research 5K

On Sunday, October 22nd from 9 AM to 2 PM, Warminster Community Park will come alive with runners from across the area. The MS Run for Research is a community event to raise awareness for the 2.5 million people across the world who live with Multiple Sclerosis.

About the Run for Research Organization

This continuous fundraising campaign was founded by Karen Lynd, a member of the community living with the unpredictability and daily challenges of MS, a nervous system disease which causes a disruption between brain signals and movement of the body. Her motto is “keep moving forward,” and it affects all that she does. Research is vital to discovering treatments and a cure for this degenerative disease, so Lynd has dedicated the rest of her life to raising the funds necessary to continue ongoing research. She created the Run for Research organization to raise money for the effort, partnering with businesses, utilizing volunteers, and donating 100% of all money raised to assist with MS research. The organization’s largest event each year is the Run for Research 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Day.

Run for Research 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Day

On the day of the event, the race will begin with the TREK Bicycle lead and follow team, who will lead the participants, while the Today’s 96.5 FM Radio team provides commentary. All are invited to come cheer on the runners, as general admission and parking are free! Bring along a donation for the Big Brother Big Sisters of Bucks County Community Clothing Drive, and prepare for a day of family fun. A number of vendors will be on site to serve delicious food to the spectators, and the Pulse Entertainment DJ will spin some tunes to keep the party going all day long. Plenty of carnival games and fun will take place, including giveaways and raffles. This is sure to be a day to remember, and a triumph for those who fight MS! Also, make sure you register for the event!
