Purchasing a new car is exciting, but you’ll want to be sure to conduct thorough research before choosing a model. If you’re considering purchasing a Nissan Altima, you may have some questions about the sedan’s features. Here are some of the most popular Nissan Altima FAQs, brought to you by the team at Montgomeryville Nissan.

Nissan Altima Trim Levels

The Altima’s trim levels are broken down based upon their features and engine size. There are five main trim levels, but with the engine options there are seven overall trims available:

  • 2.5
  • 2.5 S
  • 2.5 SR
  • 2.5 SV
  • 2.5 SL
  • 3.5 SR
  • 3.5 SL

Each trim level is equipped with a different set of standard features, and can be equipped with various available options and packages.

Which Nissan Altima Has a Backup Camera?

Aside from the 2.5 base trim level, every other trim of the Altima comes equipped with a standard backup camera, which can be extremely useful when parallel parking or backing out of spaces.

Which Nissan Altima Has Navigation?

The Nissan Altima 3.5 SL (the SL trim with the 3.5L engine option) is equipped with a standard seven-inch touchscreen NissanConnect™ system with navigation and mobile apps. If you have a 2.5 SV or 2.5 SL model, you may add the navigation system to your car as an available technology package. All other trims of the Altima are not equipped with a navigation system.

What Nissan Altima Has Leather Seats?

The Altima 2.5 SL and 3.5 SL are equipped with standard leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel for ultimate luxury. All other trims of the Altima offer leather seats as an available option, but are equipped with standard cloth upholstery.

Are Nissan Altimas Front Wheel Drive?

Yes, all trim levels of the Nissan Altima feature a front-wheel drivetrain, meaning that the car is controlled by the steering power being channeled into the car’s front wheels.

What Are Nissan Altima Zero Gravity Seats?

Nissan’s Zero Gravy Seats are an innovation inspired by the weightlessness of space. When the body is in a weightless state, the spine will automatically assume a neutral position that puts the least possible amount of pressure on the bones and joints. This state allows the body to keep from getting tired for longer. Over the course of 10 years, the Nissan team has worked to discover a seat that can work to combat the fatigue that occurs naturally to a body affected by gravity.

As a response to muscle fatigue, the human body naturally slumps when performing activities such as driving on a long road trip, which increases spinal bending and puts pressure on the lower back—this further increases fatigue. Nissan’s Zero Gravity Seats in the Nissan Altima are equipped with 14 different pressure points that help to hold your spine in a neutral position, featuring a unique seat shape that works tirelessly to support your body so that you, too, can work tirelessly. Your body’s blood flow and energy levels will be optimized by your posture.
