Interior Features Compared
The basic trim in the 2014 Nissan Versa includes 15 inch steel wheels, a height adjustable driver seat, cloth upholstery,and A/C. There’s a 2 speaker sound system w/CD player and AUX input. If you upgrade to the Plus trim, you get cruise control, and 2 more rear speakers. It’s very roomy for the small car that it is.
The Corolla is a mid-sized sedan that seats 5. With a very roomy and comfortable interior, occupants can ride comfortably for an extended period of time. It has A/C, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, height adjustable driver seat, and power windows and mirrors. It has a CD player, USB/iPod and AUX input.
Exterior Features Compared
There’s nothing too exciting on the 2014 Nissan Versa basic trim. The S Plus trim gets a rear spoiler however.
The Corolla has 15 inch steel wheels, and LED headlights. The LE Plus trim includes alloy wheels and fog lights. The LE Eco trim has a rear spoiler and aerodynamic grooves. The LE Eco Plus is basically the Eco trim and has a chrome trim around the middle.
Safety Features Compared
Antilock brakes are standard on the 2014 Nissan Versa along with stability and traction control. Front seat and full length side airbags are also included. For the SL trim, you may add an optional rearview camera, and a tire pressure alert system is standard.
All occupants of the Corolla are always secure with increased stability and traction control, anti-lock brakes, and front side and side curtain airbags. All trims have a rear-view camera, except the base L trim.
Performance Features Compared
The Versa has a 1.6 Liter 4 cylinder engine that generates 109 horsepower and is a FWD. The S trim has a standard 5 speed manual transmission, and a 4 speed automatic is optional. The other trims have a CVT, which as a fuel economy of 31 city, and 40 highway miles to the gallon. You get 27 city and 26 highway mpg for the manual transmission, while the 4 speed automatic is 26 and 35.
The Corolla has a 1.8 Liter 4 cylinder engine producing 132 horsepower and 128 lb. ft. of torque. The LE Eco trim has a superior engine of the same caliber with 140 horsepower and 126 lb. ft. of torque, along with 30 city and 42 highway mpg. Fuel economy is about 28 city and 37 highway mpg.
