The 2014 Nissan Cube looks pretty much exactly like you’d expect it to, based on its name. The distinctive box-like appearance of the vehicle helps it stand out in just about any crowd, and the interior of the vehicle is specifically designed to maximize the amount of space that it has to offer. It’s equipped with a surprising number of comforts and conveniences despite its low entry price, and the roomy interior lends a very distinctive feel out on the road.

Nissan Cube Interior

The interior of the 2014 Nissan Cube is based around curves instead of flat edges; whenever possible, it was designed with circles and ovals to help give a more organic feel to everything the vehicle does. In a sharp departure from the design of most vehicles, the rear window actually extends around and meets the right window, offering a greater view out the rear than ever before. Meanwhile, the roof is designed after a ripple pattern, giving another sense of roundness on the inside of the Cube. Despite its unusual patterns, every part of the Cube has been carefully designed for a practical purpose, and you might just be amazed at how well each part functions when taken together.

Nissan Cube Exterior

The exterior of the 2014 Nissan Cube focuses on conveniences. Unlike most vehicles, which have the rear door or trunk lid hinged on the top, the 2014 Nissan Cube has the hinge on the left to create a single large door that can easily be opened to any degree that the driver needs. Depending on the current setup of the vehicle, this leads to as much as 58 cubic feet of cargo space on the inside – far more than in most vehicles of a similar size.

2014 Nissan Cube Trims

The 2014 Nissan Cube is available in three primary styles, each of which is based around a 1.8L, 4-cylinder engine. The vehicle has been rated at a very comfortable 25 city/30 highway miles per gallon, with a 13.2-gallon tank giving it an estimated minimum range of 330 miles on a single tank. That compares very well to other vehicles of its size, while the greater interior volume means that families won’t have to worry as much about filling up the space and not having the room to bring home everything they need.

The SL Preferred Package, which currently has an MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price) of $1890, adds further options for any Cube driver. Fog lights are available and help the vehicle deal with low visibility conditions, while the interior navigation system and rearview camera help the vehicle get where it needs to be. Satellite radio is included with the package, and the enhanced speakers and subwoofer of the vehicle ensure that the sound within is fantastic.

For drivers who want added style and comfort, Nissan is supporting the Cube with a full line of optional accessories – cargo organizers, wheel locks, interior design kits, accent lighting, utility hooks. If there’s any way to make it better, there’s a good chance that an accessory to fit that need has been created.

Overall, there’s nothing quite like the 2014 Nissan Cube. Not in terms of creatively maximizing space, moving off the path of normal, or applying a heavy dose of practicality despite the often whimsical design.
