2016 Nissan JUKE Review
The Nissan JUKE made waves and turned heads when it was first released in 2011. Now five years later, this crossover is still making a splash as one of the most uniquely designed vehicles on the market. But what can we expect from the new 2016 Nissan JUKE? Read on to find out!
2016 Nissan JUKE Exterior Design
The 2016 Nissan JUKE at Montgomeryville Nissan still features the same sporty and eye catching exterior as its predecessor. It has the distinctive sculpted hood, iconic lights and compact body we’ve all come to know and love. However, this year allows you to add more of your own personal touch. With an available color studio, Nissan is letting you customize the exterior and interior of your Nissan JUKE with your favorite color combinations.
Interior Space and Design
The interior of the 2016 Nissan JUKE is sporty and comfortable. This crossover features 86.7 cubic feet of passenger volume and a maximum of 35.9 cubic feet of cargo space. It also includes 42.1 and 32.1 inches of legroom in the front and back seats, so everyone onboard can stretch out comfortably.
This vehicle is also equipped with optional heated front sport bucket seats. Plus, you’ll find a sport-motorcycle inspired center console that makes the interior more stylish and sporty. On top of that, the JUKE is home to motorsport inspired gauges.
Infotainment and Safety Options
This year’s Nissan JUKE comes with the available NissanConnect infotainment system with navigation and mobile apps. When equipped, this technology provides access to a variety of entertainment and convenience features to help you better enjoy the road ahead. A navigation system also works with SiriusXM® to display up-to-date traffic and weather alerts to help you stay away from traffic and gridlock.
In terms of safety, this vehicle now has standard Siri® Eyes Free. This voice recognition software system works directly with certain smartphones so that you can operate the infotainment system easier and with less distractions. Another safety feature for the 2016 Nissan JUKE is the Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection.
2016 Nissan JUKE Sport Performance
The 2016 Nissan JUKE comes with two engine options: the standard 1.6L Direct Injection Gasoline turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and the NISMO-tuned 1.6L Direct Injection Gasoline turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The standard option gets up to 188 horsepower, and the NISMO-turned option offers more power with 215 horsepower.
Both of these engines also create a fuel economic performance, thanks to Nissan Direct Injection and the Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System. These work with the engine to provide up to an EPA-estimated 32 highway mpg.
The JUKE comes with additional performance amenities like the available Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive system and the Integrated Control System as well. The AWD performance feature keeps you stable when traveling through adverse road conditions, and the Integrated Control System allows you to adjust the power- and drivetrain to meet your specific performance needs.
