2017 Nissan GT-R Review
Nissan is set to release the all-new 2017 Nissan GT-R and fans in the Philadelphia, Lansdale and Doylestown area are anxiously waiting to get behind the wheel to witness the impressive power, performance and features. To better acquaint you with this upcoming vehicle release, we’re going to give you a sneak peek, so you can know what to expect with the 2016 Nissan GT-R.
2017 Nissan GT-R: Same Engine, New Power
The 2016 Nissan GT-R featured the 3.8-liter twin turbocharged engine that was able to reach 545 horsepower with 463 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2017 Nissan GT-R features the same twin turbocharged engine, only with a noticeable increase in power. The new Nissan GT-R can effectively reach 565 horsepower with 467 lb.-ft. of torque. The 6-speed dual-clutch manual transmission works to offer smoother shifts with less noise.
Nissan GT-R Interior
The transmission isn’t the only thing working to reduce the noise of the engine. This vehicle features an acoustic glass windshield that augments the sound insulation materials featured in the cabin. Nissan continues with their V-shaped grille, only it’s larger on the 2016 Nissan GT-R. This V-Motion grille allows for better engine cooling, given its larger frame and mesh material. This allows you to reach the vehicle’s maximum potential while keeping the engine cool.
Another item that’s helping keep the noise at bay is the in-vehicle active noise cancellation speakers. The 2016 Nissan GT-R features a 7-inch color touch screen display. The 2017 Nissan GT-R upgrades that screen to 8 inches. Another convenient benefit with the new model is the reduction in analog controls. The 2016 Nissan GT-R featured 27 analog controls; this year’s only features 11 and effectively adds more versatility to the touch screen display.
Connectivity & Convenience
The 2017 Nissan GT-R will feature the NissanConnect Mobile App suite. This system will allow you to integrate your smartphone with the vehicle’s infotainment system. You can select music apps like Pandora® or Spotify® to provide you listening pleasure while out on the road. This system also includes emergency services like automatic collision notification, emergency calling, roadside assistance and stolen vehicle locator.
Another step towards innovation is the Nissan smartphone app that links to your phone and gives you access to your vehicle. This app will effectively allow you to remotely lock your car or set the alarm system from the palm of your hand. Power and convenience are neatly bundled in the 2017 Nissan GT-R.
Test Drive the 2017 Nissan GT-R
The 2017 Nissan GT-R is sure to impress motorists with its stylish exterior, its road ability and its convenience features. But, unfortunately, you’ll have to wait to get behind the wheel of this sporty coupe. This vehicle should be available to drivers late this summer.
