2017 Nissan Pathfinder Interior
One of the major improvements in the Nissan Pathfinder is the amount of space available to passengers. The new Pathfinder has 3 rows for a total of seven seats. The second and third rows are also able to recline. When all of the rows are folded down, the total amount of cargo space is 79.8 cubic feet.
The Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies were created by Nissan to give drivers a barrier between themselves and the road. It uses sensors and cameras to locate obstructions and give real-time footage of the driver’s surroundings. Safety Shield features include: forward emergency braking, vehicle dynamic control, traction control system, Nissan advanced airbag system, Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) with easy fill tire alert, and LATCH (lower anchors and tethers for children).
The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder also features an around-view monitor, a system of four cameras that work together to give drivers a 360-degree view of the vehicle’s surroundings at all times. The monitor also has a split-screen option that allows you to take close-ups of different angles.
Nissan Pathfinder’s Improved Engine
The standard 2017 Pathfinder engine is the 3.5L V6 that gets up to 284 horsepower and 259 pounds of torque. The suspension system has also been upgraded to provide more stability and better maneuvering. This comes in handy when driving uphill. The hill assist feature works in conjunction with the brakes and suspension to make the ascension safer.
2017 Nissan Pathfinder Towing Capabilities
Pathfinder owners now have the option of choosing the drive system. They can select 2WD, 4WD or the all-new All-mode 4X4-i 4WD. The all-mode system allows you to alternate driving systems. Now you can choose 2 wheel or all-wheel drive depending on the weather and road conditions. The system is also smart enough to automatically adjust the energy output of front and rear wheels for maximum traction.
Another benefit of the new suspension system is the increased towing capability. The Pathfinder can now manage up to 6,000lbs of cargo.
The Nissan Pathfinder also features the Tri-zone Entertainment System, which offers different entertainment options for each vehicle zone. Passengers in the second row can watch movies on the two 8 inch monitors or play a video game. The driver and passenger can both listen to music with the click and play audio options. While third row passengers can mirror their tablet and smartphone screens and listen to music with wireless headphones. Another great entertainment feature is the NissanConnect. NissanConnect is Nissan’s premium infotainment system. It offers road navigation, remote engine start, Bluetooth capability, and much more.
