Within the 2016 Nissan Rogue, you’ll find a number of safety features designed to ensure your protection and peace of mind for the road ahead.
A few of these amenities are Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control System, Hill Start Assist, and an Anti-lock Braking System. These work together to provide the control, traction, and stability needed to help you avoid a collision in adverse road conditions.
The Rogue also comes standard with the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System. It includes dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seatbelt occupation-classification sensor. Their inflation rate adjusts to the severity of the crash and seat belt usage to deliver optimum impact protection.
Additionally, the 2016 Nissan Rogue offers the following driver assist technologies to promote peace of mind.
Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection
The Around View® Monitor in the 2016 Nissan Rogue is an optimized version of the rearview camera system. Rather than just providing an image of your rear surroundings, this safety feature uses four wide-angle cameras in the front, rear, and each side of the vehicle to display a composite overhead view of your vehicle’s surroundings.
Blind Spot Warning
When your 2016 Nissan Rogue is equipped with Blind Spot Warning, you’ll be able to get a better look into those hard-to-see areas. It uses sensors to detect when a vehicle is located within you blind spots. If there’s one there, the system will activate an audible and visual alert to warn you of its presence.
Forward Emergency Braking
Forward Emergency Braking is a cutting-edge safety feature dedicated to helping prevent a collision. If you’re coming up too fast behind a vehicle, a chine and visual alert will be signaled to let you know that you have to slow down. If an accident is unavoidable or you do not react to the warnings fast enough, this will deploy the brakes to help prevent it or reduce the severity of the impact.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System with Easy-Fill Tire Alert
The tires on the 2016 Nissan Rogue are designed to optimize performance and promote safety when properly inflated. So to make sure the tires always stay at the right air pressure, Nissan installed the Tire Pressure Monitoring System with Easy-Fill Tire Alert. This lets you know the exact tire pressures of each tire and warns you when one is underinflated. And when you’re re-inflating, it will activate an audible signal when a tire has reached the proper air pressure to avoid overinflating.
