2014 Nissan Sentra vs Toyota Corolla

Interior Features Compared

The 2014 Nissan Sentra provides its passengers with A/C, power front windows, and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel along with remote keyless entry, and front and rear cup holders. For entertainment purposes, there is a CD player, AM/FM Radio, MP3 input, and 4 speakers.

The Corolla is a mid-sized, 5 passenger sedan with comfy seats. It has A/C, a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, height adjustable driver seat, power windows and mirrors, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Corolla comes with a CD player, USB/iPod and AUX input.

Exterior Features Compared

The Sentra has 16 inch wheels for the base trims, but for the SV, and the FESV, you can add alloys for $790. It also includes power steering, front wheel independent suspension, and speed-sensing steering capabilities.

The Toyota Corolla has 15 inch steel wheels, and LED headlights are standard. If you want more, you must ask for the plus or premium trims. The LE Plus includes alloy wheels and foglights. The LE Eco trim has a rear spoiler and aerodynamic indentations. The LE Eco Plus gives all of that and a chrome trim around the middle.

Performance Features Compared

The 2014 Nissan Sentra comes with either a 1.8 Liter 1-4 6 speed manual w/OD that emanates 124 horsepower or 2-speed CVT w/OD that produces 130 horsepower. The suspension, steering, and tuning has been upgraded for this year.  The base trim gives 27 city and 36 highway miles to the gallon.

The Toyota Corolla has 1.8 Liter 4 cylinder engine producing 132 horsepower and 128 lb. ft. of torque powers the Corolla. The LE Eco trim gets an enhanced engine with 140 horsepower and 126 lb. ft. of torque. Fuel economy is about 28 city and 37 highway mpg. The LE Eco trim gives 30 city and 42 highway mpg, which is a little better.

Safety Features Compared

The Nissan Sentra has Brake assist, ABS brakes, electronic stability, and traction control are vital safety features which the Sentra has. It also gives its occupants dual front and front side airbags along with overhead and occupant sensing airbags. There is an immobilizer and a panic alarm as well. As for safety, all of the essentials are covered.

The Toyota Corolla has increased stability and traction control, driver knee airbag, and front side and side curtain airbags, along with antilock brakes, you and your passengers are safe and secure at all times. Every trim, except the base L trim comes with a rearview camera.
