Interior Features Compared

The 2014 Nissan Versa Note fits 5 people as a 4 door small-sized sedan. The base trim level has 15 inch steel wheels, power mirrors, A/C, a trip computer, and a tilt only steering wheel. It does have a height adjustable driver seat however. A 4 speaker sound system with a CD player and AUX input is available for musical entertainment.

The Honda FIT is a small-sized 4 door hatchback. The base trim level has A/C, cruise control, and a tilt and telescopic steering wheel. It also includes keyless entry, full power accessories, a 4 speaker system with CD player, AUX input, and a USB/iPod interface.  The FIT Sport has a leather wrapped steering wheel, driver armrest, and paddle shifters.

The base Honda Fit trim has 15 inch steel wheels. 16 inch alloy wheels, foglamps, a rear spoiler, and sporty exterior elements are included in the Fit Sport trim.

Performance Features Compared

The Versa Note has a 5 speed manual transmission as standard and no other options. The S Plus trim comes with a CVT however, and cruise control to boot. If you want to save money and gas, and have a car simply to get to work and/or school, the Versa Note is the hatchback for you. Don’t expect anything extra fabulous, except for the S Plus trim which has grille shutters – these are known to increase fuel economy.

The Honda Fit contains a 1.5 Liter 4 cylinder engine that generates 117 horsepower and 106 lb. ft. of torque. A 5 speed automatic is optional, whereas a manual transmission is standard. Gas mileage for the manual transmission is 27 city and 33 highway mpg and 27/35 for the automatic.

Safety Features Compared

The Nissan Versa Note has 4 Wheel antilock brakes, traction and stability control, and front seat and full length side airbags are standard on all trims. You may purchase a rearview camera on the SV trim, and a tire pressure alert system comes standard on this trim.

The Honda Fit has Antilock brakes, traction control and stability are standard for the Fit. Also included are front and side curtain airbags along with head restraints.
